Sabrina Carpenter stuns in her Manchild video, teasing a new Prada Beauty launch with a bag of banana candies and a full glam look.

Sabrina Carpenter has officially entered her beauty icon era—again. Just one day after dropping her sultry new single Manchild, the pop star stunned fans with a retro-chic music video that serves more than just aesthetics. Alongside her cheeky lyrics and 1970s-inspired styling, Carpenter snuck in a major Prada Beauty Easter egg—and it’s got fans (and beauty insiders) buzzing.

Shot in a dusty desert straight out of a spaghetti western, the Manchild music video follows the 26-year-old singer as she saunters down a desolate road, rocking denim shorts, a tied-up blouse, and silver heels. But the real head-turner? A bag of Prada-branded banana candies, casually munched on by Carpenter as she plays coy with the camera.

While it may seem like a quirky styling prop, sources suggest the bananas are a nod to Prada’s iconic banana print from the Spring 2011 collection—and even more intriguing, a teaser for a brand-new, unreleased Prada Beauty product set to launch this June. That’s right: a sweet treat hiding a sweeter reveal.

This isn’t Carpenter’s first rodeo with Prada Beauty. Since becoming a creative collaborator with the brand in 2024, she’s helped launch several of its standout products, including the Color Changing Lip Balm in Astral Pink, featured in her Please, Please, Please music video. Her Taste video even included a subtle swipe of Prada lipstick, sealing her image as a glam assassin of heartbreak.

In Manchild, the glam goes full throttle. Carpenter’s face is a flawless canvas for some of Prada Beauty’s latest must-haves, including the Light Highlighter in shade 02 Pink, Refine Blurring Extending Primer, and the Reveal Skin-Optimizing Soft Matte Foundation in multiple shades to match her glow. For the eyes, she wore the Dimensions Multi-Effect Eyeshadow Palette in 01 Portrait, along with the Pradalines Waterproof Eye Pencils and the Pradascope Lash Lifting Mascara—a look that’s already going viral across social platforms.

As fans decode the music video for signs—some suspect it’s aimed at a certain Irish actor with whom Carpenter reportedly parted ways—the pop star is showing she’s more than just a hitmaker. She’s a marketing powerhouse, seamlessly blending beauty, fashion, and storytelling into one unforgettable visual.

The Manchild release follows weeks of cryptic teasers, including billboard campaigns across Interstate 69 and a now-viral silent teaser video featuring Carpenter hitchhiking in true old-Hollywood fashion. With Short n’ Sweet, her 2024 album, still riding high and a Lollapalooza headline slot coming next month, Carpenter is in full command of her narrative.

Prada Beauty, developed in partnership with L’Oréal, continues to push boundaries, championing individuality and self-expression over traditional beauty standards. “Beauty today is the representation of one’s personality, freedom and self-confidence,” co-creative directors Miuccia Prada and Raf Simons said at the line’s launch—a vision Carpenter brings to life with style and flair.

With Manchild, Sabrina isn’t just calling out toxic men—she’s also reminding us she’s the face of a generation that refuses to compromise on self-worth or good skin.
