It’s the most delicious time of the year again—National Hamburger Day 2025 is here, and fast-food giants across the U.S. are pulling out all the stops to honor the iconic American favorite. Whether you’re a fan of flame-grilled patties or classic cheeseburgers, this May 28th is packed with juicy reasons to celebrate.

Burger King leads the festivities by offering free Whoppers to members of its Royal Perks loyalty program. All you have to do is make a purchase through the BK app or website. It’s the king-sized way to honor the day that’s all about beef, buns, and bold flavors.

Wendy’s is also flipping into action with its own savory rewards. Customers can snag a free Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger with any purchase via the Wendy’s app. The offer is valid all day, and yes—it includes drive-thru and delivery options.

Dairy Queen is keeping things cool but still sizzling with a $1 off any Signature Stackburger deal for users of the DQ mobile app. Whether you crave their classic Flamethrower or the Mushroom Swiss, it’s a perfect excuse to indulge.

McDonald’s fans haven’t been left out either. While the golden arches haven’t dropped a freebie this year, many locations are offering buy-one-get-one burger deals through the McDonald’s app—making it a great time to double down on Big Macs or Quarter Pounders.

Even regional favorites are jumping on the patty train. Shake Shack, Whataburger, and Smashburger are teasing limited-time promotions, from discounted double burgers to free add-ons like bacon or fries. Many of these deals require an app download or loyalty sign-up, so burger fans are encouraged to plan ahead.

Food holidays like National Hamburger Day have become more than just a fun excuse to grab lunch—they’re now strategic marketing moments for brands to reward loyal customers and attract new ones through exclusive app deals and digital perks.

Dunkin Just Leaked Its Summer Menu and It’s a Frozen Coffee Lover’s Dream

From “Melted Ice Cream” drinks to waffle cone toppings, Dunkin’s summer treats might just steal the season

Dunkin’s rumored Melted Ice Cream Frozen Coffee lineup could be the ultimate summer treat for coffee fans

Summer is heating up, and so is Dunkin’s game-changing seasonal menu. If you thought the Pink Spritz Refresher was the big moment—think again. According to popular food blogger Snackolator, the Massachusetts-based coffee giant has something even more exciting on the way: a full-blown frozen beverage revival and some seriously indulgent new food options.

Set to roll out starting June 25, Dunkin’s new offerings could include not one, but three flavors of “Melted Ice Cream Frozen Coffee.” Imagine your favorite childhood dessert reimagined for adults—blended with ice, topped with drizzled syrup, and finished with crumbled waffle cone pieces. Yes, your daily caffeine hit just got a frosty, nostalgic makeover.

Also reportedly launching are Dunkin’ Energy Mixology Drinks, including the Cherry Berry Twist and Peach Cherry Twist, both featuring a “secret” swirl of Arctic Cherry. Then in July, Blueberry Breeze and Golden Hour Refreshers are expected to join the line-up—fruity, vibrant, and clearly designed for sipping under the summer sun.

But don’t worry if you’re not a coffee fan. Dunkin might be dropping the Strawberry Dream Refresher, a non-coffee delight topped with cold foam and swirls of oat milk. According to early leaks, this could be the go-to drink for those seeking something sweet and soothing with zero espresso involved.

The innovation doesn’t stop at beverages. Dunkin is allegedly planning to revamp its matcha preparation, possibly taking a cue from Starbucks by blending matcha powder directly into milk or water instead of shaking. This small change could mean smoother, creamier green tea drinks—a welcomed upgrade for matcha lovers.

Now let’s talk food. Word has it that a Chipotle Hash Brown Wake-Up Wrap is on the way, combining spicy flavor with a comforting potato twist. Also rumored to be joining the menu are a savory Ham and Swiss Croissant Sandwich and a sweet new Braided Apple Pie, a flaky treat perfect for pairing with your frozen coffee.

As for official confirmation? A Dunkin’ spokesperson told Food & Wine that “this summer’s just heating up — there’s even more to come from Dunkin,” neither confirming nor denying the leak. That alone is enough to have fans glued to their local menu boards in the weeks ahead.

For Rewards members, June is already packed with perks. From $2 strawberry lemon loaf deals to 3x points on donuts for Father’s Day, exclusive offers are live in the Dunkin’ app, making your summer runs all the more rewarding.

So whether you’re here for a caffeine fix or craving a cone-inspired cool-down, it looks like Dunkin’s summer 2025 lineup might just be its most irresistible yet. Time to clear some space on that Dunkin’ app—and maybe your freezer too.

Can Chocolate and Tea Really Help Your Heart Scientists Just Gave the Green Light

New research confirms your favorite indulgences—dark chocolate, tea, apples, and grapes—may be powerful allies for lowering blood pressure and aging better.

Dark chocolate, tea, and apples aren’t just delicious—they’re now science-backed allies for your heart and aging well.

For years, health experts have warned us against too much sugar, caffeine, and indulgence—but what if science just told us that some of our favorite treats could actually help our heart? According to a groundbreaking meta-analysis published in the European Journal of Preventive Cardiology, that comforting cup of tea or square of dark chocolate may be doing more than just lifting your mood—it might be improving your cardiovascular health too.

The research, conducted by scientists at the University of Surrey, analyzed 145 previous studies and found consistent evidence that flavan-3-ols, a group of naturally occurring compounds found in foods like tea, dark chocolate, apples, and grapes, can significantly reduce blood pressure. In fact, the blood pressure-lowering effects were comparable to some common medications when consumed regularly. That’s right—your tea habit might just be as beneficial as your prescription (though doctors insist it should never replace one).

“These findings are incredibly promising,” said Professor Christian Heiss, one of the study’s lead authors and a cardiovascular medicine expert. “For those looking to support their heart health, making simple dietary changes—like drinking tea or eating apples—can be an accessible and enjoyable step in the right direction.” But he also clarified: these foods should complement, not replace, medical treatment for conditions like hypertension.

And the benefits don’t stop at blood pressure. Another research team—from Edith Cowan University, Queen’s University Belfast, and Harvard—found that diets high in flavonoids also support healthy aging. These compounds are believed to reduce inflammation, boost blood vessel function, and even help maintain muscle mass—all essential for physical and mental health as we grow older. Their study, published in the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, confirmed that regular intake of foods rich in flavonoids, especially tea, apples, red wine, blueberries, and oranges, correlates with stronger aging outcomes.

Want more good news? A separate study from Rutgers University and UMass Chan Medical School-Baystate showed that grape consumption—rich in polyphenols like resveratrol and quercetin—may improve muscle function and combat oxidative stress. Sports dietitian Amy Goodson chimed in, highlighting how these nutrients possess “potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits,” reinforcing their potential for long-term wellness.

So, whether it’s a cup of green tea, a few bites of dark chocolate, or a crisp apple during your lunch break, science is now encouraging what we’ve all secretly hoped: that these little indulgences aren’t just harmless—they might be healing.

Of course, moderation is key. Experts recommend integrating these flavan-3-ol-rich foods into a balanced diet, emphasizing that variety and consistency are more important than loading up on chocolate bars alone. Still, the message is clear—your heart, and maybe even your future self, might thank you for that next sip of tea.
