Bon Jovi Announce 2026 Tour After Jon Bon Jovi’s Vocal Recovery — “Deeply Grateful to Be Back”
Jon Bon Jovi performs during rehearsals for the band’s 2026 world tour — his first since undergoing life-changing vocal surgery.

The legendary Bon Jovi are back — and this comeback feels deeply personal.
After years away from the spotlight, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icons have announced a highly anticipated 2026 tour, marking their first extended run of shows since 2022.

The band will kick things off with a string of dates at Madison Square Garden — July 7, 9, 12 and 14 — before heading overseas to Edinburgh (Aug 28), Dublin (Aug 30), and London (Sep 4).
Tickets for the U.S. shows go on presale at 10 a.m. ET on Oct 27 via bonjovi.com, with general sales launching Oct 31.

A comeback built on grit and gratitude

Frontman Jon Bon Jovi, now 63, faced an uphill battle after doctors discovered that one of his vocal cords had atrophied.
Following delicate surgery and months of vocal rehabilitation, his journey was chronicled in Hulu’s 2024 docuseries Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story.

In a recent interview with People Magazine, Jon admitted that recovery was humbling:

“There is a lot of joy in this announcement — joy that we can share these nights together with our amazing fans and joy that the band can be together again… I’m deeply grateful that everyone allowed me the time needed to heal.”

His progress has been closely followed by longtime collaborator and guitarist David Bryan, who called Jon’s recovery “nothing short of miraculous.”

A look ahead: the ‘Forever’ era continues

The 2026 concerts will continue promoting the band’s latest studio album, Forever (2024), which marked a confident return to form.
Fans can expect a blend of timeless anthems — “Livin’ on a Prayer,” “You Give Love a Bad Name,” “Wanted Dead or Alive” — along with a few modern surprises.

Music journalist Jon Pareles of The New York Times wrote that Bon Jovi’s resilience “isn’t just physical — it’s emotional, it’s legacy.”
Indeed, this tour will symbolize more than a comeback; it’s a celebration of longevity in an era where few rock bands still fill arenas.

The global dates

  • New York CityMadison Square Garden, July 7, 9, 12, 14
  • Edinburgh, Murrayfield Stadium, August 28
  • Dublin, Aviva Stadium, August 30
  • London, Wembley Stadium, September 4

More international dates are expected to follow.

The emotion behind the music

What makes this tour so powerful is not just the setlist — it’s the story behind it.
When asked whether he doubted he’d ever sing again, Jon replied:

“There were dark moments, no question. But when you love something this much, you fight for it. I wasn’t done yet.”

It’s the kind of determination that’s defined Bon Jovi’s career since their formation in 1983 — and one that will no doubt electrify fans when those arena lights go up again.

A moving new drama is set to make its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), and its first official images are already drawing attention for their emotional depth.

Titled Onwards and Sideways, the film stars Laura Linney and Rhys Ifans as two individuals whose lives are transformed after receiving diagnoses of Parkinson’s disease. Rather than focusing solely on grief, the story promises to balance heartfelt moments with humor, resilience and hope.

Helming the project is acclaimed filmmaker John Madden, best known for directing the Academy Award-winning classic Shakespeare in Love. The screenplay comes from Paul Mayhew-Archer, a celebrated British writer whose own experiences with Parkinson’s have brought authenticity to the script.

According to the filmmakers, Onwards and Sideways is designed to explore how life can continue with meaning even after a difficult diagnosis. Instead of presenting a conventional medical drama, the film examines friendship, resilience, vulnerability and the unexpected connections that emerge during life’s most challenging moments.

Joining Linney and Ifans is an accomplished supporting cast featuring Monica Dolan and Rory Kinnear, both known for delivering nuanced performances across film, television and theatre.

The newly released images offer an early glimpse into the film’s intimate storytelling, capturing quiet moments between characters as they navigate uncertainty with compassion and humor. While the subject matter is undeniably serious, the visuals suggest a story that celebrates humanity rather than focusing exclusively on illness.

For Laura Linney, the project marks another emotionally rich role in a career filled with acclaimed performances in films and television. Rhys Ifans, meanwhile, continues to showcase his remarkable versatility by stepping into a character facing profound personal change.

With John Madden behind the camera, expectations are naturally high. His previous work has demonstrated a remarkable ability to combine emotional storytelling with memorable performances, making Onwards and Sideways one of the more anticipated premieres at this year’s festival.

As conversations surrounding Parkinson’s disease continue to grow globally, the film arrives with the potential to spark meaningful dialogue while reminding audiences that compassion, laughter and human connection remain powerful forces in the face of adversity.

Whether it emerges as an awards-season contender remains to be seen, but Onwards and Sideways is already positioning itself as one of the Toronto International Film Festival’s most emotionally compelling premieres.
