Jennifer Lawrence teases Robert Pattinson over his “really bad” acting habit — “I have a memory, unlike you”
Oscar-winner Jennifer Lawrence opens up about filming Die My Love with Robert Pattinson, sharing behind-the-scenes laughs, emotional chaos, and a friendly jab at her co-star’s “terrible memorization skills.”
When Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson come together on-screen, sparks fly — but not always the kind you’d expect. The duo, who star in the intense psychological drama Die My Love, recently brought their film to New York City following its celebrated premiere at Cannes Film Festival earlier this year.
While the film itself delves into themes of motherhood, mental fragility, and identity, their off-screen dynamic was anything but grim. During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lawrence revealed that she and Pattinson shared plenty of laughs behind the scenes — even during some of the film’s most emotionally charged moments.
“Sometimes fight scenes, the crazier they get, the funnier they get,” Lawrence said. “There were even times where we were supposed to be fighting in the movie, and you can see us laughing — and [director] Lynne Ramsay just kept it.”

Inside the chaos of Die My Love
Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Lynne Ramsay, Die My Love follows Grace (Lawrence) and Jackson (Pattinson), a young couple who leave New York City to raise their newborn in Jackson’s small hometown in Montana. But what begins as a search for simplicity spirals into a psychological descent as Grace battles postpartum depression and intrusive thoughts.
“Grace is someone who says the quiet part out loud,” Lawrence explained. “She’s living her intrusive thoughts — and that’s both terrifying and liberating to play.”
Critics have called Lawrence’s performance one of her most haunting since mother!, with early reviews from IndieWire and Variety praising her ability to balance intensity with vulnerability.
Meanwhile, Pattinson’s portrayal of Jackson — a man torn between love, confusion, and helplessness — marks another career-defining turn for the actor, who has evolved far beyond his Twilight fame.
On-screen fights, off-screen laughter
Despite the film’s heavy themes, the chemistry between the two stars is anything but dark. Lawrence described their on-set relationship as “hilarious, chaotic, and weirdly supportive.”
“Fighting with somebody you get along with is fun,” she said. “It’s easier to go there emotionally when you trust the person completely — and with Rob, it always felt safe.”
Their dynamic is so genuine that director Lynne Ramsay reportedly allowed several unscripted moments of laughter to stay in the final cut, adding an unsettling sense of realism to the film’s volatile relationship scenes.
“Rob is really bad at memorizing…”
One of Lawrence’s funniest revelations, however, came when she playfully roasted Pattinson’s approach to acting.
“Rob is really bad at memorizing, and I’m really good at memorizing,” she joked. “He would labor over trying to memorize something — and he would always show up and do it, I never saw him flub a line. But he’d be really stressed out and say, ‘This is gonna take forever,’ and I’d be like, ‘No, I have a memory, unlike you.’”
Pattinson, known for his methodical and deeply immersive approach to acting, responded in classic self-deprecating fashion. “Literally, I can’t do anything else,” he told reporters. “I have to stay home, I have to be the most boring person in the world and treat my brain like it’s an endangered species. That’s the only way I can do these things anymore.”

A creative clash that worked perfectly
Despite their differing processes, both stars credit each other for pushing their performances to new heights. “Jen’s commitment is inspiring,” Pattinson said. “She makes every moment feel alive — unpredictable in the best way.”
Lawrence returned the compliment, calling Pattinson “a beautifully weird and fearless actor.”
“We’re very different, but that’s what makes it exciting,” she said. “He’s one of those actors who feels every emotion for real — you can’t fake that.”
Director Lynne Ramsay, known for crafting emotionally intense films like We Need to Talk About Kevin, said that the contrast between Lawrence’s instinctive energy and Pattinson’s cerebral style made Die My Love “electric.”
“They challenge each other in a way that brings out something raw,” Ramsay told Deadline. “It’s like watching two completely different planets collide — and somehow, it creates light.”
The film’s deeper themes — and audience reactions
At its core, Die My Love explores how love, parenthood, and isolation can test one’s sense of self. Ramsay’s haunting direction — paired with Mica Levi’s eerie score — creates an atmosphere both beautiful and suffocating.
For Lawrence, the role was a chance to explore the darker side of motherhood rarely portrayed in mainstream cinema. “It’s about confronting the parts of yourself you don’t want to admit exist,” she said. “Every mother has moments of doubt or fear — Grace just lives them out loud.”
The film premiered to a standing ovation at Cannes earlier this year, with many calling it “a disturbing masterpiece” and a career high for both leads.
A friendship that keeps fans entertained
Even as the film gains awards-season momentum, the playful banter between Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson continues to steal the spotlight. Their lighthearted teasing on the red carpet — from joking about their fake fights to ribbing each other’s quirks — has endeared them to fans.
On social media, clips from the Die My Love press tour have gone viral. “They’re the chaotic acting duo we didn’t know we needed,” one fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter).
A potential Oscar contender
With Jennifer Lawrence’s fearless performance and Lynne Ramsay’s uncompromising vision, Die My Love is already being hailed as a frontrunner for awards season. Industry insiders predict Lawrence could receive her fifth Academy Award nomination, while Ramsay may finally take home her first directing Oscar.
Whether or not the film sweeps the awards, one thing is certain: Die My Love has reignited the conversation around raw, emotional storytelling in modern cinema — and reminded the world why Lawrence and Pattinson remain two of Hollywood’s most compelling forces.

‘Scrubs’ Season 2 Brings Major Cast Changes With Ava Bunn’s Promotion and Two Exits
The upcoming season will introduce a new dynamic as Ava Bunn takes on a bigger part following the departures of Joel Kim Booster and X Mayo.
The halls of Sacred Heart are getting some new energy as Scrubs prepares for its second season, with major cast changes announced ahead of the show’s return.
Actress Ava Bunn has officially been promoted to a series regular for Season 2, marking a significant step forward for the rising performer. Meanwhile, Joel Kim Booster and X Mayo will not be returning as regular cast members for the upcoming season.
The casting update comes as the beloved medical comedy continues its new chapter while maintaining connections to the original series. Fan favorites Zach Braff, Sarah Chalke and Donald Faison are all set to return, bringing back the chemistry that made the original show a television favorite.
Bunn’s promotion highlights the show’s commitment to developing its newer characters and expanding the world of Scrubs. Her increased role in Season 2 suggests that audiences will see more of her character’s journey as the series continues balancing fresh faces with familiar personalities.

The departures of Booster and Mayo represent a shift in the show’s ensemble. Both actors brought their own comedic styles to the revival, and their exits will likely lead to changes in the storytelling approach for the upcoming episodes.

Originally created by Bill Lawrence, Scrubs became one of the most popular medical comedies of the 2000s by blending workplace humor with emotional storytelling. The series stood out for its unique mix of comedy, friendship, and realistic moments surrounding life in a hospital.
The revival has attempted to capture the spirit of the original while introducing a new generation of characters. Bringing back Braff, Chalke and Faison allows longtime viewers to reconnect with familiar personalities, while younger cast members help push the story into new territory.
Season 2 is expected to continue exploring the challenges faced by medical professionals, combining the show’s trademark humor with heartfelt moments. The balance between nostalgia and fresh storytelling remains one of the biggest factors behind the revival’s appeal.
While fans will certainly notice the absence of Booster and Mayo, the promotion of Ava Bunn signals that the creative team is confident in the direction of the series moving forward.
With returning stars, evolving characters and a renewed focus on its ensemble, Scrubs Season 2 is shaping up to be another important chapter in the franchise’s long-running legacy.
