Jonathan Majors Falls Six Feet Through a Window on Set Then Says ‘Use It’: The Daily Wire Movie Chaos That Has Hollywood Talking…

A loose pane of tempered glass, a six-foot fall, stitches on set, a crew walkout, and producers who say they “don’t negotiate with communists” — Jonathan Majors’ comeback film is already a wild ride.

If you were scripting Jonathan Majors’ Hollywood comeback, you probably wouldn’t have written it quite like this. But then again, nobody expected a stunt gone wrong, a crew on strike, and a producer throwing verbal grenades at union workers — all within the first five weeks of filming.

Welcome to the chaotic set of the untitled action film being produced by The Daily Wire and Bonfire Legend, shooting in Gaffney, South Carolina. And yes — it’s every bit as dramatic as it sounds.

The Fall Heard Around Hollywood

Footage obtained by Deadline shows Majors and his co-star, JC Kilcoyne, accidentally falling through a window while filming a scene. In the clip, the two actors stumble backwards into the glass before falling through and out of the frame.

Since the tempered glass was only sitting loosely in the window, both the actors and the sheet of glass fell about six feet to the ground

Now here’s where it gets interesting. As crew members rushed into frame to check on the two men, a voice — seemingly Majors — can be heard asking if the production was rolling on the action. “Did we shoot it?” the man asks. “Use it.”

Only in Hollywood. You fall out of a window and your first instinct is to ask if it’s usable footage.

Majors later confirmed he was okay, telling reporters: “I’m ok. I was happy to be on set and help tell the story. I am grateful for whoever is checking on me, the cast and crew for regarding our safety. It’s going to be a great movie and I am looking forward to fans seeing it!”

A professional to the end — even while bleeding.

How Did This Even Happen?

The window in question was replaced with the unsecured glass in anticipation of a different stunt. The fact that the change apparently wasn’t communicated to Majors or others filming this particular scene increased already-brewing safety concerns on the set, accelerating the push by workers toward a strike.

Kilcoyne required stitches “all over his hands” after the incident. His representative issued a statement saying the actor “is doing well and was taken care of immediately by production” and that he “did not feel unsafe on set and continues to have a positive experience working on the project.”

One anonymous crew member who arrived on set after the incident told Deadline: “When I got there, nobody mentioned anything about people falling out the window… It seemed weird to me.”

Nobody mentioned it. A man fell six feet through a window and nobody thought to bring it up. That, in a nutshell, tells you everything about the culture on this set.

The Strike: Safety, Mold, and Falling Trees

The window incident was, as one source described it, the “inciting event” — but it was far from the only problem. Initial unionization concerns were centered on simply getting healthcare coverage for workers on the set, where actors but not below-the-line crew are covered by a SAG-AFTRA contract

IATSE called a strike against the production on March 26 over a series of labor issues.

But the safety complaints stretched well beyond the window. Crew members spoke of “props falling” several times, including “a rigged tree branch that hit the set medic.” They also said there were no meetings before potentially dangerous scenes, such as using prop firearms or “complex stunts.”

Then there’s this jaw-dropping detail: another incident involved the crew arguing that a location was unsafe due to the presence of black mold, which allegedly occurred after a contractor warned the production that the building was unsafe and built with asbestos — and the production wanted to use it anyway.

Asbestos. Black mold. A falling tree branch hitting the medic. An unsecured window that dropped two actors six feet. At what point does someone say: maybe pause production?

The Producers’ Response: “We Don’t Negotiate With Communists”

Here’s where things go from chaotic to genuinely surreal.

When Deadline reached out to the producers for comment on the mounting safety allegations, their response was not an apology. It was not a statement of concern. The producers said they “don’t negotiate with communists.”

They were, of course, referring to the union workers — members of IATSE, the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees.

Producer Dallas Sonnier of Bonfire Legend took it one step further when responding to Variety about the window accident specifically, saying: “The actors’ fall was shorter than the failed movie careers of the now-union reps.”

That’s a real quote. From a real producer. About two people who fell out of a window and one of whom needed stitches.

Meanwhile, IATSE shared in a social media post: “The producers are actively looking for replacement crew. All IATSE members are advised not to cross the picket line.”

Majors’ Comeback — Now Complicated

This film was supposed to be Jonathan Majors’ road back. After his highly publicized legal troubles and the fallout that followed, the actor — once positioned as the next great Marvel villain as Kang the Conqueror — needed a win. He is the latest so-called “cancelled” actor The Daily Wire has signed for a movie, following Gina Carano.

The film, shooting under the working title “Knuckle,” is backed by Ben Shapiro’s Daily Wire and Sonnier’s Bonfire Legend. Sonnier himself had his production company, Cinestate, closed after he was accused of enabling abuse and harassment on movie sets. That context makes the producers’ dismissal of safety concerns land with a particularly uncomfortable weight.

Despite the walkout, filming is said to continue in some capacity, with the production companies actively looking for replacement crew — while IATSE is discouraging others from taking the job.

So the movie presses on. Majors says he’s okay. The crew says the set is dangerous. The producers say they don’t negotiate with anyone. And somewhere in South Carolina, a window has been repaired — for now.

Whether this film ever makes it to an audience is anyone’s guess. But one thing is certain: the behind-the-scenes story is already more dramatic than anything in the script.

How ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Returned to Cinemas and Reclaimed Box Office Glory

Renewed ticket sales send Marvel’s 2019 finale past ‘Avatar’ to lead the all-time global chart again.

How ‘Avengers: Endgame’ Returned to Cinemas and Reclaimed Box Office Glory

Seven years after its original release, Avengers: Endgame has unfinished business at the box office.

The Marvel Studios blockbuster has overtaken James Cameron’s Avatar to become the highest-grossing film worldwide once again. According to The Walt Disney Company’s October 4 announcement, Endgame now holds an estimated $2.9255 billion, narrowly ahead of Avatar’s $2.9237 billion. That puts just $1.8 million between two of cinema’s biggest hits.

The lead is small. The comeback, however, is substantial: a film released in 2019 has drawn enough fresh ticket sales to rewrite the all-time chart.

The ‘Encore’ release that tipped the balance

The latest theatrical run, titled Avengers Endgame: Encore, has earned $126 million worldwide, according to TheWrap. That includes $36.2 million in North America and $89.8 million from international markets—the extra business that pushed the film back into first place.

Audiences also had a reason to return beyond revisiting a familiar blockbuster. TheWrap reports that the reissue features a modified ending and three new scenes during and after the credits, connected to Avengers: Doomsday. The release therefore serves two purposes: bringing an established favourite back to cinemas and giving viewers a bridge to the next Avengers story.

A rivalry with a history of reversals

This is another change of leadership in a box office contest that has lasted for years.

Endgame first displaced Avatar in 2019. Cameron’s science-fiction epic regained the crown following its Chinese re-release in 2021. Now, another theatrical return has swung the result in Marvel’s favour. Re-releases have become a decisive part of the competition, extending both films’ earning lives well beyond their original runs.

The distinction matters: this is the record for worldwide theatrical revenue without adjustment for inflation, including re-release earnings. It measures money collected rather than the number of tickets sold.

Why ‘Endgame’ matters to ‘Doomsday’

The timing gives Marvel’s comeback an added significance. Avengers: Doomsday is scheduled to reach cinemas on December 18, 2026, and Disney has positioned Endgame as an important foundation for that next chapter.

Explaining the connection, Anthony Russo said: “You really need to pick the story up from where you left it in Endgame.”

That makes this return more than a victory lap. A film remembered for closing a major chapter of Marvel’s story is now helping introduce the next one—and, along the way, has taken back Hollywood’s most closely watched box office title.

Tom Cruise’s ‘Digger’ Faces a Tough Opening: Could ‘Verity’ Take the Lead?

Tom Cruise’s ‘Digger’ Faces a Tough Opening: Could ‘Verity’ Take the Lead?

Tom Cruise has spent years persuading audiences to watch him attempt the impossible. With Digger, the challenge is different: convincing moviegoers to embrace an eccentric, darkly comic character who bears little resemblance to his familiar action heroes.

Directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu, the film arrives in US cinemas on October 2, 2026, carrying considerable expectations. Cruise plays Digger Rockwell, an oil tycoon confronting a catastrophe connected to his company’s actions. It is a conspicuous departure for an actor whose recent screen identity has been shaped by spectacular stunts and blockbuster franchises.

Yet the conversation before release has increasingly turned from Cruise’s transformation to a more uncomfortable question: how many people will buy a ticket?

A costly film facing a modest opening

According to Koimoi’s September 30 report, Digger was tracking for a North American opening below $15 million, against a reported production cost of approximately $125 million. These are reported estimates, rather than confirmed earnings or a final accounting of the film’s costs.

That gap explains the concern surrounding Warner Bros.. An expensive production needs sustained attendance, and a subdued debut would place greater pressure on subsequent weekends and overseas markets.

An opening forecast cannot establish a film’s eventual profit or loss. It can, however, reveal how much work remains for the campaign.

Reviews have complicated the pitch

The critical response has been sharply divided. People reported reactions ranging from admiration for the film’s audacity and Cruise’s commitment to criticism of its scale, coherence and tone.

For potential ticket buyers, that creates an uncertain proposition. Cruise’s presence attracts attention, but attention does not automatically translate into enthusiasm for an unfamiliar kind of film.

The promotional campaign has leaned into that disagreement. The Guardian described advertising that places harsh reactions alongside praise, using the controversy itself to generate interest. Whether that approach encourages curiosity or deepens hesitation remains an open question.

Why ‘Verity’ makes the weekend more intriguing

The Hollywood Reporter expects Digger to open substantially behind Verity, the Amazon MGM Studios adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s novel. hollywoodreporter.com

Starring Anne Hathaway, Dakota Johnson and Josh Hartnett, Verity is also scheduled to open on October 2. Its psychological-thriller premise centres on a writer who discovers a disturbing manuscript while completing another author’s book series.

From a marketing perspective, an established novel and a recognisable thriller setup could offer a more immediate hook. Digger, by comparison, asks audiences to take a greater leap into unfamiliar territory.

The audience verdict is still ahead

Cruise has clearly committed to that leap. At the London premiere, Reuters reported that his transformation involved prosthetics and a padded bodysuit, alongside a demanding performance.

The commercial outcome remains unresolved. Strong audience recommendations could give Digger momentum beyond its initial forecasts. A weak response would make its financial challenge harder.

For now, the film’s biggest suspense lies beyond the screen: whether curiosity about Cruise’s unusual gamble becomes an opening-weekend ticket purchase.
