Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Shines in Game 7 Rout as Thunder Eliminate Nuggets to Reach Western Conference Finals
With 35 points and a dominant all-around display, SGA leads Oklahoma City to a stunning 125-93 win over Denver; Jokic praises his rival as “a special player.”

The Oklahoma City Thunder are headed to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2016—thanks to a masterclass performance by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. Behind 35 points from the MVP frontrunner, OKC steamrolled the Denver Nuggets 125-93 in Game 7 at Paycom Center on Sunday, securing the series 4-3 and eliminating the reigning champions.
After trailing by 11 points late in the first quarter, the Thunder responded with a thunderous run. They flipped the momentum in the second quarter, leading by 14 at halftime and stretching the margin to 25 points entering the final period.
Gilgeous-Alexander was electric, finishing with 35 points on 12-of-19 shooting (63.2%), including 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, along with four assists, three steals, and a block. It marked his seventh 30+ point performance this postseason—the most of any player in the league.
“[Our fans] have been behind us through good and bad,” said SGA after the game. “It feels like no team in the league has homecourt advantage like we do. To know that if we didn’t bring it tonight it could be over for them as well wasn’t fair.”
Jalen Williams added 24 points, seven assists, and five rebounds in a strong supporting effort. Head coach Mark Daigneault praised his team’s focus: “There aren’t many games you know you’ll remember forever. Game 7 is one of them—and these guys rose to the moment.”
For the Nuggets, it was a bitter end. Nikola Jokic, the three-time MVP and league efficiency leader, finished with 20 points, nine rebounds, and seven assists, but Denver never found its rhythm. The team committed 22 turnovers and shot a dismal 10-for-45 from three-point range.
“They’re probably the best team in the NBA,” Jokic acknowledged postgame. “Shai is a special player—his rhythm, shot selection, defense, the way he impacts the game… He deserves all the credit.”
Over the series, Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 29.7 points, 6.6 assists, 6.4 rebounds, and 1.6 steals on 62.8% true shooting, consistently outdueling Jokic, who posted 28.4 points and 13.9 rebounds.
The Thunder now shift focus to the Minnesota Timberwolves and rising star Anthony Edwards. Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals tips off Tuesday night in Oklahoma City

Matthew Forde’s Net Worth Revealed for 2025
Barbados-born all-rounder Matthew Forde sets his financial footing as West Indies cricket star

Matthew Forde, the dynamic Barbadian all-rounder and emerging star in the West Indies cricket setup, has been turning heads both on and off the field. As of mid‑2025, his exact net worth remains undisclosed—official estimates from sports finance trackers are still “not publicly disclosed” . Yet, even without a firm figure, the contours of his wealth are clear: steady earnings from international contracts, franchise cricket, and growing brand appeal.

Forde officially broke into the West Indies scene in December 2023, and since then, his financial profile has seen significant uplift. He plays on central contracts with Cricket West Indies and earns match fees across ODI and T20 internationals. Beyond international duties, Forde’s participation in franchise leagues—most notably the Caribbean Premier League with St Lucia Kings, the Lanka Premier League with Dambulla Aura, and stints with the Comilla Victorians—offers lucrative remuneration, often exceeding that of national team paydays.
Commercial opportunities are beginning to materialize too. While details are scarce, regional endorsements are likely emerging. Many Caribbean cricketers of similar profiles begin with local brand deals before progressing to broader sponsorship arrangements as visibility grows.

Dublin , Ireland – 23 May 2025; West Indies batter Matthew Forde, left, celebrates bringing up his half century during the second match of the One Day International Series between Ireland and the West Indies at Clontarf Cricket Club in Dublin.
At just 23, Forde stands at the threshold of a promising career—not only athletically but financially. Though his net worth remains under wraps for now, all signs suggest a rising valuation. With continued performance, especially in international and franchise cricket, it’s only a matter of time before Forde’s financial ascent becomes publicly quantified.

Brandon King Net Worth in 2025 Uncovered
West Indies top-order sensation Brandon King’s estimated net worth reflects his growing influence on and off the field

Emerging as a standout performer for the West Indies since making his international debut in November 2019, Brandon King has not only solidified his place in top-order batting but has also steadily built a strong financial foundation. As of mid‑2025, several credible sources estimate his net worth to be between ₹32 crore (Indian rupees) and US $5 million
Translated to USD, ₹32 crore corresponds to approximately US $3.9 million, while an alternate figure commonly cited puts him at around $5 million . This variance reflects both endorsement potential and performance-based income.

King’s primary earnings stem from multiple sources: his West Indies central contract, match fees across ODIs and T20Is, and significant returns from global T20 leagues—most notably the Caribbean Premier League, Abu Dhabi, and South Africa’s SA20 . A remarkable performance in the CPL, including a record-breaking 132*, greatly enhanced his market value and opened doors to lucrative franchise deals .
As a rising sports personality, King reportedly enjoys regional endorsements—though precise figures remain unconfirmed, the growth in his estimated net worth from ₹32 crore (~$3.9M) in 2024 to potentially $5M in 2025 suggests expanding off-field income streams .

At just 30 years old, King appears to be financially prudent. Though specific investments aren’t publicly documented, such a net worth at this career stage indicates disciplined earnings management and the potential for ventures beyond cricket.

College World Series Race Heats Up as Coastal Carolina Shocks Auburn and SEC Giants Battle for Survival
From walk-off heroics to nail-biting comebacks, the 2025 NCAA Super Regionals deliver chaos and high drama as teams fight for a ticket to Omaha

The road to Omaha is paved with suspense, and this weekend’s NCAA Baseball Super Regionals served it in spades. From stunning upsets to emotional Game 3 deciders, the battle for the 2025 College World Series is officially a rollercoaster. Coastal Carolina became the first to punch their ticket, toppling No. 4 Auburn in back-to-back games, while heavyweight programs like Tennessee, Florida State, and North Carolina are being dragged into do-or-die clashes.
Coastal Carolina’s Comeback Journey
The Chanticleers’ return to Omaha for the first time since their historic 2016 title win sent shockwaves through the tournament. After edging Auburn 7-6 in a thrilling Game 1—highlighted by Caden Bodine’s extra-innings homer—Coastal sealed the deal with a 4-1 win. Walker Mitchell led the late-game rally with clutch RBIs, proving that experience and grit can overpower seeding and SEC muscle.
SEC Titans on Thin Ice
The Southeastern Conference, once boasting 13 tournament entrants, is now watching its dominance dwindle. Only LSU, Arkansas, and Tennessee remain, and the latter two are cannibalizing each other in a tense Fayetteville matchup. Arkansas leads after a tight 4-3 Game 1 win, powered by a Ryder Helfrick home run and dominant pitching from Zach Root. But Tennessee, the defending champions, aren’t going quietly.
Cardiac College Baseball in Chapel Hill and Louisville
Two more Game 3s promise fireworks on Sunday. North Carolina’s offensive explosion in Game 1 turned into heartbreak in Game 2 as Arizona clawed their way back to even the series. Meanwhile, in Louisville, Miami refused to fold after a Game 1 drubbing. Three-run bombs from Jake Ogden and Daniel Culvet were enough to keep the Hurricanes alive. Now both matchups are down to a single winner-takes-all clash for a ticket to Omaha.
Dark Horses Rising
Duke’s bid to return to the College World Series for the first time since 1961 is alive and well. Thanks to Kyle Johnson’s four RBIs and Owen Proksch’s solid pitching, the Blue Devils overcame an early deficit to beat Murray State 7-4. One more win and history could be made in Durham.
UCLA also sits one win away after taking down UTSA 5-2. With solid defense and Roman Martin’s timely triple, the Bruins are on the brink of their first MCWS appearance since 2013.
Grit in Corvallis and Baton Rouge
Florida State showed serious resilience against Oregon State to force a Game 3. A clutch RBI single and bases-loaded walk helped the Seminoles secure a 3-1 victory after falling just short in Game 1. A win Sunday would mark their second straight trip to Omaha.
LSU, meanwhile, used an unconventional mix of patience and power to overwhelm West Virginia 16-9. Despite fewer hits, the Tigers drew walks, took hit-by-pitches, and turned every inch of advantage into runs. One more win and they’re Omaha-bound.
Sunday Showdowns Await
With Game 3s looming in Corvallis, Chapel Hill, Louisville, and potentially Fayetteville, Sunday is set to be a baseball bonanza. Every pitch could be a dream realized or shattered. Fans across the country will be glued to screens as America’s pastime shows off its postseason drama at its best.
